There’s something quietly magical about Christmas in July. It offers a gentle pause in the middle of the year—a chance to slow down, look ahead, and make space for joy, meaning, and togetherness.

In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, I’ve come to see how important it is to find moments to reconnect and to celebrate wherever and whenever we can. Not everyone is always free come December, and for those of us in Australia, July brings the rare joy of a true wintery Christmas—our own version of that cosy, northern hemisphere holiday feeling.

To help bring that spirit to life, I’m so proud to be continuing my partnership with Balsam Hill Australia, a brand that shares my love of meaningful traditions and the magic of Christmas.

Why I’ve Partnered with Balsam Hill Australia

This is my second year working with Balsam Hill Australia, and it continues to feel like the perfect fit—not just creatively, but in the values we share.

My work with BALI AND ME is rooted in celebrating and commemorating life’s most meaningful milestones. I create uniquely designed, handmade heirlooms that honour special moments—pieces meant to be passed down through generations. It’s about embracing nostalgia while also nurturing new family traditions that evolve over time.In everything I do, I prioritise quality, longevity, and sustainability, using responsible materials and thoughtful practices wherever possible. That’s why partnering with Balsam Hill feels so aligned. Their incredibly lifelike “forever trees” are designed to last for decades—reducing waste while creating beauty and tradition year after year.

Their vision of Christmas—one that honours craftsmanship, sentiment, and sustainability—mirrors my own.

This partnership is more than seasonal décor. It’s about building a home filled with meaning and crafting traditions that stand the test of time.

My Christmas in July Favourites

This year, I’ve chosen four thoughtful pieces from Balsam Hill Australia that are helping me create a space that feels festive, warm, and intentional. Two are beautiful décor pieces that set the tone and atmosphere for the season. The other two are practical storage solutions—perfect for protecting the ornaments I’ve designed and made, and lovingly collected over time.

🌲 BH Fraser Fir (Twinkly Light Show)

I was looking for a tree that could stand beautifully on its own—a timeless, statement piece that fills our home with magic and nostalgia.

Best features: The Twinkly lighting system is brilliant. With customisable colours and settings (all controlled via an app), this tree shifts effortlessly between soft, romantic candlelight and joyful colour displays (providing hours of enjoyment for our toddlers). The branches are lush, full, and incredibly realistic—no need for fillers or heavy styling.

How I styled it: This year, I’ve embraced simplicity. No ornaments—just the tree and its warm golden glow. It fills the room with calm and light, and it’s become a peaceful focal point in our home.

🌲 BH Norway Spruce Wreath

I love adding small, considered touches throughout the home, and this wreath brings just the right amount of festive charm without overwhelming the space.

Best features: The fullness and realism of the branches is stunning—I barely had to adjust it. It's lightweight and versatile, making it easy to move and style in different areas.

How I styled it: I’ve hung mine on a cupboard door in our entryway, where it adds a soft, seasonal feel to a space I walk into everyday. It’s also perfect for loungerooms, kitchens, mirrors, or mantels—anywhere you want a touch of winter coziness and a touch of festiveness.

🎁 72-Piece Ornament Storage Box

As an artist and mum, I've created and collected many beautiful ornaments over the years, and I needed a compact way to store and protect them—especially in a home where space is at a premium.

Best features: This box is deceptively spacious yet slim enough to fit inside built-in cupboards. It keeps ornaments organised, cushioned, and protected, without the bulk of traditional plastic tubs.

How I use it: I use this for everyday or seasonal ornaments I reach for most often. It’s perfect for smaller homes or apartments, and it’s made decorating feel easier and more mindful.

🎁 120-Piece Deluxe Rolling Ornament Chest

Some of my ornaments are incredibly sentimental—pieces I’ve handcrafted for BALI AND ME, or ones collected on travels and gifted by loved ones. I needed a long-term storage solution that truly honours their value.

Best features: With spacious compartments, soft protective dividers, and smooth-rolling wheels, this chest makes storage effortless. It’s sturdy, elegant, and protects even the most delicate glass or handmade pieces.

How I use it: This is where I store my most cherished heirloom ornaments. It keeps them safe, organised, and ready to be enjoyed year after year—without the usual chaos of digging through boxes or worrying about breakage. It's also the perfect place to store spare parts, christmas plates and mugs, and anything I use on the Christmas table.

Celebrating with Heart

For me, Christmas in July is about more than décor—it’s a chance to pause, reconnect, and bring warmth into the everyday. Whether you’re decorating a full tree or lighting a single candle, it’s the intention behind it that matters most. I’m so grateful to partner with Balsam Hill Australia to help bring that magic to life. Each of these pieces has made our home feel more grounded, beautiful, and festive—even in the quietest moments.
