🌴 DESIGNED TO BRING BALANCE TO YOUR HOME
A meaningful accent for the home, the Penida Clay Bead Garland is a quiet reflection of serenity, intention, and cultural reverence. Named after Nusa Penida—a tranquil island southeast of Bali—this piece draws inspiration from the island’s restorative energy and deep spiritual heritage.
Nusa Penida literally translates to “island of priests”, a name that reflects its historic connection to Balinese Hinduism and sacred rituals. In honour of this, the beads are made using naturally white clay—a material chosen not only for its simplicity and purity, but also as a symbolic nod to the island’s famous white cliffs and spiritual lightness.
Each bead is individually hand-formed, air-dried, and carefully assembled by hand in my studio. Their soft matte finish and organic texture gives every piece its own unique presence. Strung on natural jute, this necklace brings together earthy materials with a calm, minimalist aesthetic. Whether styled on a bookshelf, coffee table, or by your entryway, the Penida Necklace brings intention, grounding, and quiet beauty to your space.

🌿 ABOUT THE CLAY
Each bead in this garland is made from natural white air-drying clay. This clay is naturally white (not pure white), and its colour can vary slightly — adding to each piece’s unique charm. These natural variations occur due to differences in mineral content and regional sourcing, giving every garland a character all its own. I choose this clay for its natural composition, strength, and durability — it offers the perfect balance of earthy texture and refined quality, ideal for creating timeless decorative pieces.
🏡 HOW TO STYLE IT
- Hang on a hook for a minimal, sculptural touch
- Drape across a coffee table or book stack for texture and warmth
- Layer on a shelf or mantel with other natural décor
- Style in an entryway as a symbolic gesture of calm and welcome

Please note that custom, personalised, and digital items are not eligible for return, unless they arrive damaged or defective. I do not accept returns for change of mind.
Due to the handmade nature of my clay keepsakes, slight size variations may occur — typically just a few millimetres. Each piece is individually crafted, making it truly unique, with its own natural charm and character. Please also note that colours may appear slightly different in photos due to variations in lighting, screen brightness, and monitor settings. Please refer to individual items for sizing information.

My philosophy is simple: create with purpose, honour tradition, and make things that matter. I believe in slow, intentional creation—crafting products that are not only beautiful, but meaningful, ethical, and long-lasting.
I value creativity, community, sustainability, and respect—for people, culture, and the planet. These values guide every decision I make in my business, from the materials I use to the way I engage with customers and collaborate with local communities.
I also believe in accessibility—sharing what I’ve learned and supporting others, especially women, who want to start creative businesses of their own. For me, success is not just what I build, but what I give back.
